You’re ALIVE! I’m so glad. I’m currently reading Lewis Black’s ME OF LITTLE FAITH. I just found out about you in the chapter titled, “the american guru.” Black said you had an exceptional understanding of drugs and that you were also exceptionally articulate when explaining them. I believe it! I just googled you. Evidently, you’ve got a GREAT head on your shoulders — you survived the 50s, 60s, 70s, etc. and you survived this mine field experience in Korea. Great story. Congrats on your remarkable life and your exemplary philosophy.

yes, thank you.I LOVE this story!!! I first read the story of Mother H in “Rendered Infamous” at my aunt’s house years ago ( I inherited her copy when she died in 2001) and I *roared* and shared it with a friend who was stationed at Alameda Naval Weapons Station around the same time as you.

folks who haven’t had the opportunity should check out other tales and musings in Rendered Infamous…probably the most nitty-gritty of Stephen’s books. lots of good honest tales about prison, the military, Stephen’s dad as a carpenter wth integrity, the poltics of the day (20 years ago).
